Welcome to The Medical Assistant Program.  This is a one year program designed to provide students exposure to both the clinical and administrative areas of Medical Assisting in order to prepare students to be both college and career ready. Career opportunities for Medical Assistants include employment in physicians' offices, clinics, hospitals, or other healthcare industries.

 

 

 

Areas of study include: Clinical Skills:  taking medical histories; recording vital signs; explain treatment procedures; purchase and maintaining equipment; electrocardiograms.  Administrative Skills:  maintaining medical records; insurance filing; scheduling; billing and coding.  Other areas of study include:  anatomy and physiology, medical terminology, nutrition, and general office procedures.

 

 

 

 

 As the Medical Assistant field continues to grow, the Medical Assistant  career is considered one of the fastest growing occupations.  The program is a 2 hour program that is offered at 8:00AM and again at 12:00PM.  If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.
